With a turn of the oversized metal key, music starts radiating from inside a large orb made of solid wood. This playful wind-up music box is designed by Adam + Harborth of Siebensachen, and manufactured in a village bordering the Black Forest. The 18-note mechanism is mounted in blocks of solid oak wood, then turned and covered with open-pored semi-matte wax or lacquer. The black diamond is a very rare polycrystalline variety of diamond, and so is the case with our new musical box.

In German "seine Siebensachen packen" literally means to pack seven things and leave. It implies that you do not randomly throw things in your suitcase, but carefully choose what you need most.

Therefore the label Siebensachen by Adam+Harborth stands for an approach towards design, production, distribution and communication that is selective and sophisticated.

Adam+Harborth Design was founded in Berlin in the late 1990's. Ever since their designs have been much appreciated by many for their ability to mix emotion and intellect. This talent is especially reflected in their work for Siebensachen, Adam+Harborth´s personal collection, which has been internationally successful for close to a decade now.

Each Siebensachen product is made out of carefully selected materials and is superior in quality and are all ‘Made in Germany‘.
